THEMATIC CHAPTER: In 1972, a report by three renowned scientists from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) shocked the world. The report ‘The Limits to Growth’, alternatively known as the Meadows Report after the main authors, basically stated that mankind was on an unsustainable course. In a number of decades, the world would run out of many of its key resources and the limits of growth would be reached.
