Job Description

To support Rathbone Greenbank’s investment managers in maintaining the team’s position as one of the UK’s leading providers of ethical and sustainable investment services.

This includes ongoing oversight of the ethical and sustainability attributes of core holdings with clients’ portfolios and assuring their ongoing suitability according to clients’ individual ethical preferences.

Key responsibilities:
Maintain research database on companies’ ethical/ESG performance, and engaging with organisations, where appropriate.
Maintain company profiles for constituents of assigned peer groups using annual report & accounts, corporate responsibility and sustainability reports and websites.
Conduct portfolio screening for new and existing clients and liaise with IMs.
Produce company annual ethical reviews for distribution to clients.
Attend SRI seminars and conferences as required.
Engage with companies, NGOs and collaborative engagement partners (eg, PRI, BBFAW) on corporate responsibility and sustainability issues.
Attend/prepare client review meetings and new business presentations as required.
Assist with Rathbone Greenbank Investor Day and contribute articles as required for website and GB Review.
Speak at public-facing events organised by either Rathbone Greenbank or affiliated organisations (eg, UKSIF, ECCR, PRI).

Knowledge / skills required:
Experience working in a role combining business with knowledge of sustainability issues; experience in Financial Services, the Investment or Wealth Management industry is desirable, but not mandatory.
Knowledge of responsible investment environment in which we operate.
Degree or equivalent
Willing to undertake further professional qualifications
Excellent relationship management and team working skills.
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Problem solver.
Must be methodical and conscientious.
Attention to detail
Adaptable proactive and flexible.
An excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel would be an advantage.
