

Following on from our broad agenda overview of COP21 yesterday, below is a list of events that RI believes responsible investors should be following closely – from their desks, for those not in Paris – and/or attending.

Tuesday December 1
Paris-based Two Degrees Investing Initiative (2°ii) has a guide to the events they are involved in. It includes two events today (Dec 1) The first is with the German Environment Ministry (BMUB), New Climate Institute, Germanwatch, and 2°ii host “the Future of Financial Markets in Line with 2°C” at the German Pavilion.
The second is a panel on national case studies, including France, and evolving global trends in “Towards a sustainable financial system”, hosted by I4CE and the UNEP Inquiry.

10.30am – 11am: The Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit: Media briefing at COP21 in Paris on implications of national climate plans (INDCs) for global renewable energy capacity. Available on live webcast
12.30pm – 1.00pm 350.org and other divestment organisations will announce the new tally of divestment commitments and total money under management that’s gone fossil free.
