Award-winning UK comedian and writer to compere RI Awards gala dinner on June 6

Awards follow the RI Europe conference first day.

Responsible Investor is rolling around laughing with delight to announce that Kevin Day, the UK stand-up comedian and TV comedy writer (‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, A League of Their Own’, and a 2016 nominee for the British Academy Television Craft Awards) will be the compere for the RI Awards & Dinner at RI Europe 2017, which takes place in the evening of June 6 at the RI Europe conference venue.
When in London you’ve got to see a comedy show, and there are few funnier.
In the late late 80s/early 90s, Kevin Day was described as “the third wave of alternative comedy”, compering London’s famous Comedy Store and writing sketches for Christopher Walken and Steve Coogan. He won the Time Out Comedy Award in 1993 at the Edinburgh festival.
But to many, Day is ‘that bloke from Match of the Day 2’, the UK football show, and writer of jokes for Gary Lineaker.
He’s done comedy gigs for Tony Blair, The Reverend Jesse Jackson and the Dalai Lama, and can supply related gossip.
We’re looking forward to him making fun of us!

The RI Awards, in partnership with Refine Research, were established in 2013 to create an aspirational benchmark for asset owners and asset managers by encouraging and recognizing best practice and transparency in responsible investment reporting. They combine a rigorous set of quantitative reporting performance indicators with a qualitative overlay provided by a high-level judging panel from the institutional investment field.
In addition, this year’s awards dinner also features the RI Awards for Innovation & Industry Leadership, which are designed to motivate and reward organisations and individual practitioners for their contributions to the promotion and development of responsible investment.
