RI People Moves, November 30: French SIF, UKSIF, FairPensions, Deutsche Bank, FRC

RI’s round-up of the major people moves in the sector.

Robin Edme, one of the founders and the president of the French SIF, the Forum Pour l’Investissement Responsable (FIR), is to step down after eight years at the helm. Edme will leave on December 15. Bertrand Fournier, vice-president at FIR and president of the board at LFP-Sarasin Asset Management, has been proposed as the organisation’s new president. Edme will continue to represent FIR on the administration board of Eurosif were he is also vice president.

Adam Ognall, Deputy Chief Executive of UKSIF, is leaving the sustainable finance and investment association at the end of the year. He will become CEO at the UK branch of the New Israel Fund, which campaigns for Israel’s survival and prosperity.

Duncan Exley, director of campaigns at FairPensions, is leaving the lobbying group after five years. Exley will become campaign director at One Society, which highlights the negative effects of income inequality. A replacement has not yet been named.
FairPensions is also looking for two people to join its trustee board following the retirement of two founding trustees. It is specifically interested in candidates with HR experience and/or experience of working with a large occupational pension scheme, either as a trustee or officer/advisor. Glen Moreno has been named as Deputy Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council, the UK watchdog. Moreno is Chairman of Financial Times publisher Pearson and a non-executive director of Lloyds Banking Group and Fidelity International.

Stanley Fink, the chairman of sustainable finance firm Earth Capital Partners and former CEO at hedge fund group MAN Plc, has been named a peer – meaning he can sit in the upper chamber of the UK Parliament, the House of Lords.

Tom Fourcade, the former CEO at Biomass CHP and EnviroBusiness, has joined sustainable growth investor Bridges Ventures as Investment Director.
Christopher Cox, former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, has become a board member at the Forum for Corporate Directors, a US group which aims to increase the effectiveness of directors and corporate managers. Release

The London-based Climate Bonds Initiative is seeking a researcher/analyst as it begins work on a crop of new projects. The job involves developing workable policies and solutions to scale up low carbon investment. Link to job ad
