ESG research firm GES names Gelfgren as Business Development Director

Hires former Mercer and SAM executive

GES Investment Services, the Sweden-based environmental, social and governance (ESG) research supplier, has hired former Mercer and SAM responsible investment executive Eric Gelfgren as Business Development Director.

Gelfgren is a former European Head of Responsible Investing at Mercer Investment Consulting and Global Head of Marketing & Sales at SAM Sustainable Asset Management, the boutique firm that’s now part of Robeco.

Gelfgren was most recently at Bank Sarasin in a Nordic institutional business development role and is currently an independent consultant focused on business development and sustainability.Stockholm-based GES’s clients such as pension funds and banks have around €700bn of assets. The firm offers various engagement services, UN Principles for Responsible Investment consulting and indices.

Founded in 1992, GES has 45 employees and offices in Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Switzerland. It has partnerships with Manifest in the UK, Oekom in Germany and France and SIRIS in Australia.
