Eurosif shifts leadership to Brussels to target EU policy

Executive Director position to be filled in new office by July.

The European Sustainable Investment Forum (Eurosif), is shifting the seat of its leadership position to Brussels from Paris as it opens a second European office with the aim of further influencing EU policy on ESG issues. The sustainable investment lobby group said it would appoint its next Executive Director to a new Brussels office and plans to fill the position by July 1. The post is vacant following the departure of Matt Christensen, who leaves Eurosif this month to join AXA Investment Managers as Global Head of Responsible Investment. Christensen, who has led Eurosif since 2002, was based in Eurosif’s Paris office.The new Executive Director will continue management supervision of the Paris office where Eurosif’s operating team will continue to be based. The Paris office will also be expanded with the hire of an events management and administrative staff member to be brought on board by June.
Giuseppe van der Helm, Eurosif’s President, will take over operational responsibilities and executive team management until the appointment of the new Executive Director. Applications for the position must be submitted by April 29.
