People & Appointments: Change at the top for ISS ESG

The latest ESG movers and shakers: Credit Suisse AM global head of sustainable investing steps down; CEO of NatureMetrics leaves firm.

ISS ESG has reshuffled its top team, with former head Max Horster appointed global head of ESG strategy, to be replaced in the role by Till Jung. Jung, who was previously head of product, joined the firm after its acquisition of oekom research in 2018, where he ran its sales function, while Horster joined after the acquisition of South Pole Group, which he co-founded. Both will report to Lorraine Kelly, global head of investment stewardship at ISS.

Jeroen Bos is leaving his role as global head of sustainable investing at Credit Suisse Asset Management, having joined the manager at the start of 2022. Bos previously spent more than 13 years as head of equities and responsible investing at NN Investment Partners. He will continue serving as a member on Adopt Rainforest’s board.

Katie Critchlow has stepped down as CEO of biodiversity data provider NatureMetrics. Critchlow, who co-founded the firm in 2017 and was COO and president of its North American subsidiary, had previously held sustainability roles at PwC, WWF and Marks & Spencer, as well as acting as sustainable finance adviser to the Liberal Democrat Party. She is currently looking for a new role.

Nikko Asset Management is recruiting a global environment lead for its global sustainable investment hub in Singapore. The successful candidate will work alongside the investment team to expand its approach to climate change, as well as advance the manager’s portfolio decarbonisation strategy.

The WWF is hiring a sustainable finance policy officer to join its European policy office in Brussels. The role will involve policy engagement and joint NGO work, as well as focusing in on capital requirements. Applications close on 10 September.

Chris White has been appointed CFO at UK-based lender Ecology Building Society. White began his career working at PwC and has held CFO roles at two regional building societies.

The Wiltshire Pension Fund is hiring a senior investment and stewardship officer. Applications for the Trowbridge-based role close on 10 September.

The UK Endorsement Board is looking for new members for its Investor Advisory Group. The deadline for applications is 4 September.
