Dustyn Lanz, former CEO of the Responsible Investment Association, is to join ESG Global Advisors as a Senior Advisor. Lanz joined RIA in 2013 as an Associate, Research and Communications, rising to the role of CEO before stepping down in December last year. He was heavily involved in the creation of Canada’s answer to Climate Action 100+ and led the development of the Canadian Investment Statement on Diversity and Inclusion.
Richard Manley, Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Investing at CPP Investments, has been appointed Chair of SASB’s Investor Advisory Group, while Carine Smith Ihenacho, Chief Governance and Compliance Officer at Norges Bank Investment Management, will become Vice Chair of the group, which has more than 60 members managing over $52trn in assets.
Huw van Steenis has left his role as Senior Advisor to the CEO at UBS. Van Steenis, who advised UBS’ CEO on a range of issues invluding sustainability, previously held roles at Schroders, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan, and is a member of the Oxford University Endowment Management’s investment committee.
Benoît Belliat has been promoted to head of S&P Global’s governance advisory service in France. Belliat, who has previously held roles at ISS and Desjardins, was previously Associate Director, Corporate Governance Advisory at IHS Markit before its merger with S&P Global.
Edoardo Riario Sforza, has announced he is leaving his role as Climate and Shareholder Action Campaigner at Market Forces. Sforza, who has been at the NGO since 2019, said that he had decided to take a break from work before deciding what to do next.
Roel van Broekhuizen has been appointed Portfolio Manager, Green and Social Bonds at NN Investment Partners. Van Broekhuizen joined the firm in September 2020 and has held a number of investment trainee roles since then.
Yalin Karadogan has joined impact investor Leapfrog Investments as Partner and Global Head of Investor Solutions. Karadogan, who replaces retiring Partner Nick Moon, spent nearly 15 years at private equity firm Cinven before joining Leapfrog.
Shami Nissan, Head of Sustainability at Actis, has been promoted to Partner at the firm. Nissan, who sits on the G7 Impact Taskforce’s advisory panel, joined Actis from PwC in 2015, where she was an Assistant Director in its sustainability and climate change team. She has previously held roles at Innovest and the UN Development Program.
