EFRAG has extended its call for candidates for its sustainability reporting financial institutions advisory panels until 15 September. The EU standard setter announced in June that it was launching a call for candidates for three advisory bodies to opine on the “development and maintenance” of sustainability reporting standards for the financial sector, as part of the bloc’s wider European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
Nina Hodzic has left Allianz Global Investors after more than six years to join APG Asset Management as fiduciary manager for responsible investment. She was previously head of the sustainable investment office at Allianz GI, having also spent 11 years prior at NN Investment Partners across several responsible investment roles.
Man Group is recruiting an investment stewardship manager to develop the manager’s stewardship and proxy voting strategy. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on investment stewardship, proxy voting and company engagement, as well as governance best practices. They will also align Man Group’s stewardship objectives with those of the Net Zero Asset Manager initiative’s, and oversee reporting on the UK stewardship code and the Principles for Responsible Investment’s transparency reporting.
Betina Vaz Boni has been appointed as a responsible investment officer at Cardano. She leaves the PRI where she spent more than four years working across various corporate governance positions. Prior to this, she was an active ownership and sustainable investing research associate at Robeco.
Jaspriya Dhillon has joined Vanguard as an ESG regulatory change analyst. She leaves Capgemini where she was a financial services insights and data consultant for more than one year.
Kat Shenton has been appointed as an investment committee member at UK workplace pension scheme Nest. She was formerly impact and sustainability director at Octopus Investments between 2019 and 2021, having joined the firm in 2011. Shenton was also appointed as a board member of CCLA Investment Management in June, and is a domain expert at Carbon13, a venture capital firm focused on climate.
UK Conservative MP Claire Coutinho has replaced Grant Shapps as secretary of state for energy security and net zero. Shapps leaves after seven months in the role, having been appointed as defence secretary. Coutinho was previously parliamentary under secretary of state at the Department for Education, a role she held since October 2022.
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) is also recruiting a net-zero blended finance lead analyst. The new cross-government blended finance initiative will have three main workstreams which the successful candidate will lead the analysis for alongside cross-government partners and public finance institutions.
The PRI is seeking a human rights and social issues associate. The successful candidate will oversee the organisation’s though leadership across human rights and a range of social issues, including decent work and DE&I. They will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of the PRI’s human rights and social issues work programme.
Investment manager Castlefield has appointed James Buckley as lead manager of its Sustainable European Fund. He joins from Cantor Fitzgerald where he was head of equity research for two years. Buckley was also head of European equities at Barings for more than 14 years prior to this.
