The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is recruiting a chair and members for the technical advisory committee (TAC) for UK sustainability disclosure standards. The TAC will be an independent committee, with the FRC acting as secretariat. It will provide technical advice to the Department for Business and Trade on the suitability of the IFRS International Sustainability Disclosure Standards (ISSB) for use in the UK, including whether any amendments should be made. The chair will lead the TAC’s engagement work, in particular with companies, investors, the ISSB, other national standard setters and securities regulators. TAC members will provide technical analysis on an IFRS sustainability disclosure standard and vote on the final technical endorsement recommendation.
Head of Nordea Life and Pension (NLP) Katja Bergqvist, has been appointed to represent the Nordic pension fund on the UN-convened Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance’s (NZAOA) steering group. Nordea will sit in the nine-member body – which sets the strategic direction of the alliance – together with executives from asset owners including Allianz, AXA and Nippon Life.
