She has worked for Euromoney since 2009 as emerging markets correspondent, Central and Eastern Europe editor, and most recently ESG editor. Her focus areas include banking, capital markets, biodiversity, ESG data and multilateral development banks.
Peter Lööw, head of responsible investment at Swedish pension giant Alecta, has left his role to become vice-president, sustainable finance at Finnish pulp, paper and forestry firm Stora Enso. Lööw, who sat on the board of Swedish responsible investment forum Swesif for three years, spent almost his entire career at Alecta, joining in 2000 as a project manager. He joined the risk team in 2002 and was head of risk and performance from 2008 to 2015, when he became head of RI.
Joe Biden has nominated Jaime Lizárraga and Mark Uyeda to fill the two commissioner vacancies at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Lizárraga, who is currently a senior adviser to House speaker Nancy Pelosi, has spent 31 years in public service, including as a presidential appointee at the Treasury and SEC, and will replace Allison Herren Lee. Uyeda, an SEC attorney currently on secondment to the Senate Committee on Banking, will replace Elad Roisman. He has previously served as assistant director and senior special counsel in the regulator’s Division of Investment Management.
Tony Rooke has left his role as a senior director in Willis Towers Watson’s climate, decarbonisation and transition strategy group to join GFANZ as executive director, climate transition planning and sectoral pathways. Before joining Willis Towers Watson, Rooke spent close to five years at the CDP, most recently as global director, disclosure.
