People & Appointments: Scottish Widows’ Nazarova-Doyle to be full time RI head

The latest ESG movers and shakers: FCA ESG director named fellow by CFA UK; Nikko AM launches sustainable investment team.

Maria Nazarova-Doyle, head of pensions investments and responsible investments at UK pensions giant Scottish Widows, is switching her role to focus on responsible investment full time. Nazarova-Doyle, who joined Scottish Widows in January 2020 and sits on the UKSIF board, will continue as head of responsible investments while the firm is recruiting a new head of investment proposition.

The Financial Conduct Authority’s director of ESG, Sacha Sadan, has been named as one of four new fellows at the UK’s CFA society in recognition of his contribution to the investment profession.

Nikko Asset Management has launched a global sustainable investment team to boost its ESG integration. The team is asset class agnostic and will span the company’s Singapore, Tokyo and London offices. Nikko AM’s global head of sustainable investment, Natalia Rajewska, will lead the team, reporting to group president Stefanie Drews and chief investment officer Hiroshi Yoh.

DC Green Bank is seeking its next CEO to replace Jean Nelson-Houpert, the bank’s current interim-CEO and chief financial officer. Former CEO Eli Hopson announced his departure in October following more than two years of service.

The World Bank is recruiting an international consultant to support Kyrgyzstan’s implementation of its green taxonomy. The candidate will work alongside the World Bank Group’s environment, natural resources and blue economy division, as well as the macroeconomic trade and investment team. The International Finance Corporation will also contribute to the taxonomy’s development. The short-term consultant role will be required until the end of this year.

The San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System is hiring an ESG investment officer to assist with executing risk analysis, ESG reporting and due diligence and proxy voting. Applications close on 1 March.

The non-profit Anthropocene Fixed Income Institute is seeking a senior credit strategist to further its work on the climate transition in fixed income. The candidate will work alongside a team of fixed income specialists to develop impact pricing models for sustainability-linked bonds, corporate capital structures and passive index rules construction.
