Responsible Investor launches new RI ‘asset manager’ reporting awards

Fund manager awards will compliment four-year old asset owner reporting awards, with winners announced at RI Europe conference on 22/23 June.

Responsible Investor is building on its successful four-year old RI Reporting Awards for Asset Owners by introducing sister awards for asset managers, one of the first times investment houses will be assessed and judged for success in their championing of ESG integration and responsible, long-term investment.
The awards for best fund manager RI reports will be announced at the 9th annual RI Europe Conference, which will be held in London on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd June 2016.
The RI Reporting Awards for Asset Managers aim to encourage best practice and transparency on responsible investment by recognising the highest standards in the disclosure of ESG-related activities.
Responsible Investor and our partners the Responsible Finance Research Project will research thousands of asset owners and asset managers globally to ascertain whether they publish an annual report or related reporting on their responsible investment activities.
The reports must meet three basic rules:
1) The report must have been published during the 2015 calendar year (although it may be dated 2014 or 2014/15).
2) It must be for the asset owner organisation or the asset manager, not the parent group. If you are an asset manager, we will not include the report of your parent (e.g. bank or insurance company or other holding company).
3) It must be in English.You can make sure we find your report by sending us a link to its location via our survey site.

The entry form takes around 60 seconds to complete and the closing date for submissions is Wednesday 17th February.
France’s Caisse des Dépôts and Swedfund International were the winners of last year’s asset owner RI Reporting Awards for Best RI Report by a Large Pension Fund and Best RI Report for a Medium & Small Pension Fund, respectively.
