The Green Climate Fund, the new multilateral fund set up under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is seeking its inaugural Executive Director. The candidate will head the Secretariat that will be based at the fund’s headquarters in Songdo, South Korea. The position is for an initial three-year period and the closing date for applications is April 28. Other roles at the fund’s interim secretariat are advertised here

Ruben Langbroek has been named as the new Head of Asia for the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), the property sustainability initiative that is backed by more than 45 institutional real estate investors, investment managers and industry associations. Langbroek, who joins from Jones Lang LaSalle, will be based in Singapore.

Patricia Bradley has left governance advisory firm PIRC, where she was a Corporate Governance Analyst, to join consulting firm Mercer as it expands its executive remuneration business in the UK and Europe. “The UK is a growth market in executive remuneration for Mercer and the appointment of Patricia will help us to further solidify our position as one of the leading pan-European executive compensation businesses,” Mercer said.

Els Ankum-Griffioen has become Head of Business Development and Investor Relations at Triodos Investment Management, the fund management arm of the sustainable bank. She was formerly General Manager at the Amsterdam representative office of Sparinvest, the asset management firm owned by over 90 Danish institutional investors.

Bob Mann, Chief Operating Officer at ESG research firm Sustainalytics, has joined the board of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR). The CBSR is chaired by Rob Moore of RRM Ventures and other directors include: Chris Coulter, President, GlobeScan; Lorraine Smith, Director, SustainAbility; and George Greene, Founding Chair, Stratos. Marika Fredriksson has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S. She succeeds Dag Gunnar Andresen who is leaving the company by the end of this month for “personal reasons”. Fredriksson was most recently CFO at medical technology company Gambro, and has also worked at Autoliv and Volvo Construction Equipment.
Former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark has been re-appointed as head of the UN Development Programme for a second four-year term.

Shirley Garrood is to retire as chief financial officer of Henderson Group after 12 years with the UK fund manager. She will be succeeded by Roger Thompson, who joins from J.P. Morgan Asset Management where most recently he was Global Chief Operating Officer of its Investment Management business and former International CFO. Announcement

SHARE, the Vancouver-based Shareholder Association for Research and Education, is seeking a Director of Law and Policy. The role reports to SHARE’s Executive Director and is responsible for leading the group’s law reform, research and policy advocacy activities related to responsible investment and governance.
