Raj Thamotheram, former Senior Advisor for Responsible Investment at AXA Investment Managers has launched a new ESG consultancy firm for institutional investors, Raj Thamotheram Associates. Thamotheram left Axa in June this year and was previously a Senior Advisor for responsible investment at the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS).
Arthur Weinbach is to step down as chairman of proxy voting infrastructure firm Broadridge Financial Solutions, as of its forthcoming annual meeting. The board will elect an independent Chairman from among its members before the meeting, likely to take place in November. Link
Heath Mottram, head of investment and actuarial at the £27.6bn (€31.2bn) Royal Mail Pension Plan, is to leave at the end of October. He will be replaced by Ian McKnight, currently investment strategy manager according to a Financial News report. The departure comes as the UN Principles for Responsible Investment signatory begins to wind downs its investment operations as the sponsor is part-privatised.
Matti Leppälä has been named to succeed Chris Verhaegen as Secretary General of the European Federation for Retirement Provision, the pension lobby group. Jacob de Wit has been appointed Chairman of the Board of SNS Asset Management, the Dutch funds firm and UN PRI signatory with €42bn in assets under managements. He takes over from interim chairman Dick Okhuijsen. Mark Thomsen has been named Director of Business Development for OneReport, the online corporate responsibility information tool, by SRI World Group. OneReport, which Thomsen helped to develop, integrates the metrics requested by responsible and mainstream investment research and ratings organizations, as well as corporate responsibility frameworks and standards.
