

Rebecca Sampson has joined the ESG Research team at SNS Asset Management as Active Ownership Specialist, where she will be responsible for directing the firm’s responsible voting and engagement strategies. A US citizen, she has worked in the RI field since 2005, most recently as the lead ESG analyst at Royal Bank of Canada’s SRI Wealth Management Group based in San Francisco.
Sustainalytics, the ESG research house, plans to boost its Paris office to three people. Jean-Florent Helfre, Associate Analyst at its Amsterdam office is to transfer to France to join Antonio Celeste, Director, Institutional Relations, Paris. The company is also seeking a third staff member for the French office.
Kolja Leiser has been appointed Head of Corporate Responsibility at Zurich Cantonal Bank (ZKB). He is currently with BHP-Brugger and Partners, the Zurich-based sustainability consultancy and was a key organiser of The Sustainability Forum Zurich.
Three new board members have been proposed at Vestas Wind Systems, the Danish wind turbine maker. They are Bert Nordberg, CEO of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, Lars Olof Josefsson, former President of Sandvik Mining and Eija Pitkänen, Head of Corporate Responsibility at Telia Sonera. Vestas holds its annual general meeting on March 29.
Steffen Köhler has been named as Chief Market Officer at the European Energy Exchange (EEX). He joins from Eurex derivatives exchange, where he helped the co-operation between EEX and Eurex in emissions trading. Link
Social Enterprise Finance Australia Ltd. (SEFA) has appointed Roselyn Yap as the new SEFA Loans Manager. Yap previously worked at Perpetual, Rabo Bank and CBA, as well as having managed her own business.Tony Robison has joined Scottish Equity Partners, the Glasgow-based venture capital firm, to work on its new £95m (€113.7m) Environmental Energies Fund (EEF). He joins from Aberdeen-based energy technology company Gas 2 Ltd, where he was Finance Director. Link
Valerie Budzik has been named Deputy Comptroller for Legal Affairs/General Counsel in the New York City Comptroller’s Office. In the Comptroller’s role as investment advisor to the City Pension Funds, she will provide legal advice and support on issues such as proxy solicitation, shareholder initiatives and securities litigation. She takes over from Ricardo Morales, who has been named First Deputy Comptroller. Link
Scott Sipprelle has decided not to stand for re-election to MSCI’s board of directors at the index and ESG firm’s shareholder meeting on May 2. Sipprelle, the former Head of US Equity Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley, is the President of investment firm Westland Ventures. Link

EFRAG, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group, is seeking a new full-time Research Director. The Brussels-based role reports directly to the EFRAG Chairman. Current research director Mario Abela will join Deloitte’s global IFRS team in London. Link
