The US SIF, the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment, has named Michelle Clayman, managing partner and chief investment officer of New Amsterdam Partners, as the newest member of its board of directors. She succeeds Cliff Rosenthal, CEO of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions. New York-based New Amsterdam counts major US pension funds among its clients.

Pieter Hendrikse has been elected chairman of the Green Rating Alliance, the real estate industry body for environmental performance, for 2012. Hendrikse, chief executive of CBRE Global Investors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, takes over the role form AXA Real Estate’s Pierre Vaquier. Sander Paul van Tongeren of APG has been confirmed as Green Rating Alliance Program Manager, facilitating member activity development. Announcement

Consulting firm PWC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) has appointed Allan Zhang to its UK Sustainability and Climate Change team. He was previously the leader of PWC’s sustainability and climate change team based in Beijing and joins on a two-year secondment. Link

Paul Haggis, the former president and CEO of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), will stand for election to the board of Canadian Pacific Railways at the firm’s annual meeting on May 17. Haggis joins a group of other business leaders organised by $11bn activist investor Pershing Square Capital Management.Louise Herron has been appointed to the board of Australian Ethical Investment, the Australian sustainable funds firm. Herron is co-founder and Executive Director of Sydney-based corporate consulting firm Ironbark Group. Earlier this month Australian Ethical named David Macri as Chief Investment Officer. Shawn Wischmeier, Chief Investment Officer at the North Carolina State Treasurer’s Office is to become CIO of the $6bn Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies in Minnesota. He will be replaced on an interim basis by Chief Administrative Officer Bryan Lewis.

Adeline Diab has joined APG Asset Management, the €280 pension fund manager. She was previously Analyst at HSBC Asset Management and Investment Manager at London-based hedge fund GLG Partners and most recently co-founder of Women Capital. In her new role, she will focus on sustainability integration across capital markets, leading in credit while contributing to equity strategies. She will pursue her advisory roles in Women on Board initiatives.

Proxy voting executive Diana Bourke, who had senior roles at EDGAR Online, INVeSHARE and Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), has joined employee productivity company LifeCare as senior vice president. LifeCare is a privately held company based in Connecticut. Link
Jonathan Labrey, Head of Communications at the Financial Reporting Council, the UK governance watchdog, has been named as Director of Communications at the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).
