AXA Investment Management, the fund management firm with €528bn under management, has named Luisa Florez as Senior Fixed Income Analyst in its 10-member Responsible Investments team. June Choi was named Senior Corporate Governance Analyst and Vincent Compiegne becomes Quantitative Analyst.
Jack Boyce has been named Head of US Distribution at Standard Life Investments, the UN Principles for Responsible Investment signatory with £154.9bn (€192.1bn) in assets under management. He joins from Pinebridge, where he was Co-Head of Global Distribution. John Grybauskas is named Senior Vice-President Client Services; Deborah Drachman becomes Vice President Consultant Relations. They join from Blackrock and Citadel Asset Management respectively.
Jennifer Lauber Patterson, Executive Director of green asset management firm Frontier Carbon, has been named as Head of Australia and New Zealand at the Climate Markets and Investment Association (CMIA), the 60-member trade body. Lauber Patterson is former Head of Environmental Treasury Solutions at Australia’s National Australia Bank (NAB). The CMIA also said it has appointed John Wunderlin as Associate, North American and International Financial Mechanisms.
David Obstler, Chief Financial Officer at index and environment, social and governance (ESG) company MSCI, is leaving to pursue other interests, the company said. Obstler, who became CFO when MSCI acquired RiskMetrics in 2010, will be replaced by Robert Qutub, who joins from Bank of America.
Michael O’Sullivan has been named as Australia representative for clean energy projects and solutions company Camco. He was formerly Head of Environmental Investments at JF Infrastructure Pty Ltd.
Jared Carney, Chief Strategy Officer at the Milken Institute think tank, is launching his own venture – a strategic marketing firm called Lightdale LLC. He will remain with the Milken Institute as a Senior Fellow and as Co-Chairman of its Global Capital Markets Advisory Council.Three former senior executives at sustainable funds firm SAM have started a new advisory firm called Contrast Capital. They are: Stephanie Feigt, founding partner, who was SAM’s Chief Investment Officer; Pierin Menzli, founding partner, who as SAM’s Head of Research was responsible for the annual sustainability assessment of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI); and Rodrigo Amandi, managing partner, who was Managing Director of SAM Indexes GmbH. Mandy Mannix is to join F&C Investments, the UN PRI signatory with £101.8bn in assets, as head of institutional sales. Mannix, the former global head of sales and marketing at hedge fund manager CQS, will report to Richard Wilson, head of investment and institutional business.

Ignacio Campino, the recently retired Head of Sustainability and Climate Protection at Deutsche Telekom, is to join the Desertec Foundation as a director. Desertec is the renewable energy project to be based in the Middle East and North Africa. Link
