Thérèse Kieve, Senior Research and Engagement Officer at ShareAction, has joined Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS). Kieve is the third addition in recent months to the governance and responsible investment advisory firm’s UK research team, joining Rachana Nirgudkar, a former Analyst at MSCI ESG Research, and Lewis Naylor, an Analyst at Manifest Information Services.

Yvo de Boer, former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), has joined Ireland-based recruitment and consultancy firm, SRI Executive Search as Partner and Senior Advisor in Global Sustainability. Previously, de Boer was Director-General of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).

Noora Viksten, senior associate in the MSCI ESG Client Coverage team, has relocated to the Stockholm office to lead business development in Sweden and Finland. Prior to joining MSCI in 2015 based in the London office, she worked for Sweden-based service provider GES as Client Manager, responsible for institutional investors in the Nordic countries.

Phineas Glover has been appointed to an ESG Equity Strategy role at Macquarie Securities Group in Sydney. Formerly Senior Adviser at the UK’s Investor Forum, Glover has had spells with the Investment Association, the Association of British Insurers and the Co-operative Asset Management.
Bo Normann Rasmussen, acting Chief Executive Officer at Danish pension provider AP Pension, has formally been given the role. Rasmussen, formerly a Director at Denmark’s third largest commercial pension fund, was drafted into the role in early December following the sudden departure of the previous CEO Søren Dal Thomsen. Mark Zinkula, CEO of Legal & General Investment Management and a director of Legal & General Plc, has joined the board of the Financial Reporting Council, the UK watchdog. He will take the place of Elizabeth Corley, the Vice Chair at Allianz Global Investors, who is stepping down from the Board after completing her second three year term.

Wim Hoek, Director for Strategy and Marketing at Dutch asset manager and pensions provider MN, has been named Director of the PWRI, the €8bn pension fund for disabled workers in sheltered accommodation. Hoek succeeds Frans Prins in the role – IPE has reported that Prins has since been appointed Independent Chairman of the €108m Dutch pension fund of carbon manufacturer Norit (replacing Rob Bakker, who retired in November).

The Ontario Securities Commission is inviting applications for membership on its Investor Advisory Panel. The deadline for submissions is April 28.

Rolf Jansson, Chief Executive of Finnish railway company VR Group, has been elected to the board of Finland’s largest private investor, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company. Varma also recently announced it is licencing a new ‘TCFD-aligned’ climate index. Jansson’s appointment follows the resignation of board member Mikael Aro on March 2.

David Cumming, Head of Equities at Edinburgh-based Standard Life Investments, will step down from the role after 18 years ‘to pursue other interests’ the company have announced. Stan Pearson, Head of European Equities has assumed the role of Acting Head of Equities, whilst Andrew Millington, Director of Equity Research is now Acting Head of UK Equities. The move comes just days after the £11bn agreed merger with Aberdeen Asset Management.Didrik Munch, CEO of Norway media firm, Schibsted Norge ASA, has been nominated as Chairman of Storebrand ASA’s board. Munch assumes the role at the Norwegian financial services organisation after Birger Magnus stepped down from the position after eight years.

Randall Stephenson, Chairman and CEO of US telecommunications firm, AT&T, has been appointed to the Board of Directors at Focusing Capital on the Long Term (FCLT), the non-profit, long-term investing advocacy group. Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO of BlackRock, and Nitin Nohria, Dean of Harvard Business School, were also named as Strategic Advisors. Link

Zanvi Patel, who led Global Total Rewards at US trading firm E*TRADE Financial, has joined independent corporate governance and executive compensation advisory firm, Farient Advisors. Patel is also a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP), the Council of Institutional Investors (CII), and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

Mark van der Kroft, Sales Director at Dutch asset management firm Robeco, has reportedly moved to NN Investment Partners (NN IP) becoming Director for Strategic Business Development at the Dutch €180bn asset manager. Van der Kroft is the third Robeco director to join NN IP in recent months: Maureen Schlejen joined NN in October 2016 as Head of Institutional Relations Netherlands, and Hester Borrie joined in March 2017 as Head of Client Group International.

Daan van der Werf, Director of Institutional Relations at Kempen Capital Management, has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer at Delta Lloyd Asset Management. Van der Werf was also previously Portfolio Manager and Institutional Relations Manager at Dutch bank ABN Amro.

David Delaire, Managing Partner at DD Energy Services in Turkey, has joined German global investment manager, MPC Capital AG as Head of Asset Management. Delaire will lead MPC Capital’s wind and solar projects across emerging markets and advance its renewables platform in the Caribbean.

Leonardo Martinez-Diaz, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy and Environment at the US Treasury, has been announced as Global Director at the World Resources Institute’s Finance Centre. Martinez-Diaz will join the institute’s Global Management Team and set the organisation’s agenda across its global network.

Daniel R Hay has resigned from the board of Canadian impact investment firm SustainCo with immediate effect. Adam Szweras, a securities law partner with Fogler, Rubinoff, had been appointed to the board. Announcement

ACTIAM, the Utrecht-based fund manager with €56bn under management, is recruiting an Impact Investment – Analyst / Portfolio Manager. It said: “The Impact Investing team at ACTIAM develops and manages funds that focus on impact investments, with a focus on investments in emerging markets. We are now looking for an Impact Investment Analyst / Portfolio Manager to support our team due to the departure of one of our colleagues.”
