Ashley Hamilton has joined Royal London Asset Management (CIS) the former Cooperative Asset Management, as Corporate Governance Manager in the Responsible Investment Team. She was formerly with PIRC and Canada’s Shareholder Association for Research and Education (SHARE).

Chris Hodge, Director of Corporate Governance at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), has been appointed Executive Director of Strategy at the UK watchdog. He takes over from Mridul Hegde, who is leaving, and will report to the FRC’s Chief Executive Stephen Haddrill.

Ian Bragg, former Associate Director, Research, Policy & Institutional Services at Canada’s SIF, the Social Investment Organization, has joined the Canadian Business Ethics Research Network (CBERN) as Director Strategic Development. Bragg, who was with the SIO for two and half years, had managed its policy and advocacy activities.

Frances Beinecke will retire as president of the Natural Resources Defense Council, the US-based international nonprofit environmental organization, at the end of 2014. She joined the NRDC as an intern in 1973 and succeeded John Adams as president in 2006.

Mark Lewis, the former Deutsche Bank energy analyst, has become an independent energy analyst, according to his LinkedIn page. Lewis, head of energy research at Deutsche Bank’s commodities arm, left last month after 14 years with the company.

Nathalie Palladitcheff has been named as the new independent director and member of the audit committee on Crédit Agricole CIB’s Board of Directors. She is currently at Icade, the Paris-listed real estate investment company and subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts, as a member of the executive committee in charge of finance, legal affairs, IT and property services. He joins from Enel Green Power, where he was Executive Vice President, Head of Business Development. Wolfgang Gehra has joined the advisory council for Germany’s Global Challenges Index (GCX), which decides the makeup of the 50-member sustainable equity index. Gehra, who oversees the pension assets for members of the Franciscan Order of Germany’s Catholic Church, replaces Juliane Flormann from the Cloister of Sießen, who stepped down for personal reasons.

Sir Anthony Cleaver has been appointed as the new chair of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), the largest funder of environmental science in the UK. Cleaver, the former chairman and CEO of IBM UK who went on to head the Atomic Energy Authority, will succeed Ed Wallis on January 1 2014.

Steve Wyatt has been named as Strategy Director at the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, the UK government-backed body tasked with accelerating the growth and cost reduction of offshore wind, wave and tidal technologies. Wyatt was formerly director of innovation at the Carbon Trust, where he played a key part in writing the business plan and strategy for ORE Catapult. Link

Lars Sjobring has been appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Transocean Ltd., the offshore drilling company. Sjobring, who joins from automotive components firm Autoliv, is a former Director Legal, M&A with Nokia Corporation. Link
