Odin Knudsen, managing director for environmental markets at J.P. Morgan Chase, has resigned, according to a Bloomberg report. It said Knudsen, the former head of the World Bank Carbon Fund, left by mutual consent as the bank scales back its climate-related activities.

Lloyd Kurtz, Chief Investment Officer at Nelson Capital Management and lecturer at the Center for Responsible Business at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, has joined the Editorial Board of FSinsight, the finance and sustainability platform. “At FSinsight he will be one of the key authors on Sustainable and Responsible Investments, with a focus on socially responsible investing,” it said. David Bevan, Director of Academic Affairs at EABIS, the Brussels-based Academy of Business in Society, is leaving to join the China Europe International Business School. EABIS is seeking a replacement, with an application deadline of December 31.

Helene Winch, head of policy at BT Pension Scheme Management, has been appointed a director of Hermes Equity Ownership Services, the engagement arm of BTPS-owned Hermes Fund Managers, according to a filing at Companies House. Winch is a former Associate Director, Alternative Investments at Hermes Investment Management.

Bindu Lohani has been named Vice President of Sustainable Development and Knowledge Management at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). His former role as VP, Finance and Administration will be assumed by Thierry de Longuemar. Five new board members have been sworn in at Overseas Private Investment Organization (OPIC), the US development finance agency. They are: Katherine Gehl, President and CEO of Gehl Foods; Roberto Herencia, President and CEO of investment fund BXM Holdings; Maxwell Kennedy, Director of Kennedy Enterprises: Terry Lewis, a Principal with LIA Advisors; and James Torrey, senior advisor to fund-of-funds firm Cadogan Management. Ed Grzybowski is to retire as chief investment officer of TIAACREF, the US retirement services provider with $440bn in assets under management. Carol Deckbar was named to the new role of chief operating officer of TIAACREF Asset Management. Lisa Black, managing director, Global Public Markets and head of public fixed-income portfolio management, becomes head of Global Public Markets. She takes over from David Brown, who becomes portfolio manager of the TIAA General Account. Announcement

The International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF), the cooperative and mutual insurance body, has voted in a new Board of Directors for the next four years until 2015. John Balmforth continues as chair while Anders Sundström has been appointed vice-chair.
