Ola Alfredsson, chief executive of Sweden-based naval technology firm Kockums, has been appointed to the board of buffer fund AP2, Andra AP-fonden. Kockums, part of ThyssenKrupp, manufactures submarines and surface ships. Announcement

Lars Josefsson, former chief executive of energy group Vattenfall, has been named deputy chairman of AP3, Tredje AP-fonden by the Swedish government. Announcement

Colin Purdie has been appointed SRI Credit Fund Manager at Aviva Investors. He joins from Aegon Asset Management. He’ll be based in London and report to SRI head Peter Michaelis. Aviva Investors’ SRI team manages £3.6bn in assets.
Environmental consulting firm E3G has named Martin Rands as chief operating officer, a new role. He was formerly Finance Director. Shane Tomlinson takes the new position of Director of Development and will also join the E3G board. Release
Susan Flynn, chief investment officer of Hermes’ private equity fund of funds arm, has left the firm, according to reports. Flynn oversaw the team running the Hermes Environmental Focus Fund, the green tech portion of the UK’s new Innovation Investment Fund. Link

Mark Burgess has been named chief investment officer at Threadneedle. Burgess, a prominent voice on the UK corporate governance scene, joins from Legal & General Investment Management where he was head of UK equities. Link

TIAACREF, the $425bn US asset management giant, has named executive vice president for product development and management Edward Van Dolsen to the role of chief operating officer. Release*Kerrie Kelly* has stepped down as director general of the Association of British Insurers for “personal reasons” after just six months in the role. She will be replaced on an interim basis by Maggie Craig, the ABI’s director of life and savings. Announcement
The US Securities and Exchange Commission has named Paula Dubberly to a new Deputy Director position in the Division of Corporation Finance. Part of her role will be to enhance investor protection in securities offerings. Release
Green Exchange, the environmental markets group backed by firms such as Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, has named senior figures to its board of directors. They are: James Cash; Sir David King; Erle Nye; Daniel Rappaport and Dr. Fritz Vahrenholt. Release

Charles Leitner, the head of Rreef, the property arm of Deutsche Asset Management. has become chief executive of Greenprint, an organisation of real estate owners, investors and financial institutions, committed to reducing carbon emissions, reports IPE Real Estate. Deutsche said it had appointed Pierre Cherki as its new head of Rreef.

Stuart Thompson has been named managing director of UK-based energy investment firm EA Technology Ventures. He was previously acting MD and takes over from George Lilley. Link
