Climate Change Capital portfolio manager Paul Udall has joined asset manager GAM in London as Investment Director. He will manage an equity mandate investing in environmental and sustainable investment themes. The UCITS III product is expected to launch later this year. Munich-based sustainability ratings agency Oekom Research has named Caspar von Hauenschild to its supervisory board, taking over from Klaus Pyter, who is retiring. Von Hauenschild is a former senior banker with Bayerische Vereinsbank and HypoVereinsbank and is on the board of anti-corruption campaigner Transparency International. Release

Governance for Owners, the partnership which focuses on exercising owners’ rights, has made three appointments. Pedro Yaguez joins as investment partner from AIB Investment Management, Alex Hirsch joins from Lincoln Vale as an Investment Analyst and Staffan Elmgren becomes a partner responsible for marketing and business development.

Stefan den Doelder, a former Senior Investment Manager at Robeco Private Equity, has set up his own consulting firm. 3P Capital Advisors will focus on cleantech and responsible private equity investments, providing services for institutional investors, asset managers and private equity fund managers. Web site*Klaus Rave*, managing director of Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein, has been named chairman of the Global Wind Energy Council for a two-year term, replacing Arthouros Zervos who had been chairman since 2006. The £11.5bn (€13.8bn) BP Pension Fund has named Steve Westwell as a director of BP Pension Trustees Ltd. Westwell, the oil major’s Executive Vice-President and Group Chief of Staff, replaces Iain Macdonald who has retired. Westwell is BP’s former Group Vice President of Alternative Energy. Announcement

US investment bank Piper Jaffray has named Ahmar Zaman as senior research analyst for solar and clean technologies. He joins from UBS Securities where he had a similar role. “Expanding the breadth and depth of coverage in the clean technology and renewables space reflects our ongoing commitment to responding to client needs and market opportunities,” said global head of equities Bob Peterson.

Australian boutique fund manager Solaris Investment Management has appointed Lisa Domagala to focus on environmental, social and governance issues. She will provide guidance on ESG issues to the firm’s analysts as well as dealing with UN PRI guidelines and other ESG-related reporting requirements.
