

Sustainalytics, the Amsterdam headquartered ESG research company, has hired Andy White, a highly experienced ESG research professional, as an associate director of its advisory services team in London as it looks to build its UK presence. White joins Sustainalytics from Inflection Point Capital Management (IPCM), the boutique sustainability asset management firm launched by former Innovest Chief, Matt Kiernan, where he was Head of Research. White will retain a senior advisory role at IPCM.
In his new post at Sustainalytics, White will oversee client relationship management and product innovation for the UK market. Lucy Carmody, founder of Responsible Research, which Sustainalytics bought in March 2012, had been expected to take up the role of Director of Institutional Relations, UK, at Sustainalytics following a year’s sabbatical, but her joining of the firm has not been confirmed.Carmody become a shareholder in Sustainalytics at the time of the deal. Sustainalytics could not be reached for comment at the time of going to press. Sustainalytics has been gradually growing its UK staff in the last year or so. It recently added Cecilia Barsk, who was involved in developing the new reporting framework for the Principles for Responsible Investment, as a London-based responsible investment Associate. Farnam Bidgoli, a human rights research specialist transferred to London from Sustainalyics in Toronto. The London team also includes Catalina Secreteanu, former program manager at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF). Andy White has a long career in RI research, notably with Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, where he served as global Managing Director of Research. White had also more recently been providing advisory support to Solaron, the Bangalore-based ESG research firm.
