Threadneedle’s governance and responsible investment head Niklasson to leave

Change at leading SRI fund manager

Therese Niklasson, the Head of Governance and Responsible Investment at funds firm Threadneedle Asset Management, is leaving.

“We can confirm that Therese Niklasson is leaving Threadneedle, her last day here will be July 22,” said a spokesperson.

Until a replacement is appointed, Niklasson’s role will be covered by Cathrine De Connick-Smith, Governance and Responsible Investment Analyst.

Niklasson, who has degrees from Oxford University and the London School of Economics, joined Threadneedle in 2007 from risk management firm Det Norske Veritas.Threadneedle was named leading SRI fund manager in the Thomson Reuters Extel in September 2010.

The company, which has £66.6bn (€74bn) of assets under management, in May promoted Simon Brazier to Head of UK Equities.

And last month it named DB Advisors’ Camilla Crowe as Head of Consultant Relations reporting to Madeline Forrester, Head of Global Institutional Business.

In January its Low-Carbon Workplace Trust completed four property acquisitions with an end value forecasted at £54m.
