F&C nabs Henderson’s Evans for €350m Stewardship Fund

£95bn asset manager boosts team

F&C Investments has hired Henderson Global Investors’ Alice Evans to co-run its £310m (€354m) Stewardship International Fund alongside Sophie Horsfall.
Evans will join in November and report to head of global thematic equities Horsfall. Evans joined Henderson in 2005 and was part of its seven-strong SRI funds team.
She was Fund Manager, SRI Funds working alongside Head of SRI Funds George Latham and SRI Funds Director Tim Dieppe. Before this she was at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
She was blogging for Henderson last week on investment opportunities in Japan.

F&C’s Stewardship International Fund, launched in1987, is an ethical global equity Open Ended Investment Company benchmarked against the MSCI World Index with an average annual return of 2.91%.
F&C’s Stewardship range was launched in 1984 and now has some £3bn under management.
Horsfall said Evans’ “specialist knowledge and expertise in sustainable thematic investing, coupled with her strong stock picking track record, should undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of F&C’s track record and reputation”.
Evans’ hire follows that of Randeep Grewal and Sam Cosh as Senior Fund Managers European Equity Team announced last week. They join from ICAP equities and BNP Investment Partners respectively.
