

Kristina Church has joined BNY Mellon Asset Management as its new Head of Responsible Strategy. Church leaves her role as Head of Sustainable Solutions at Lombard Odier.
Meanwhile, Lorenzo Bernasconi has joined Lombard Odier as Head of Climate and Environmental Solutions. The asset manager said this is a newly created role rather than a direct replacement of Church, and has not confirmed whether it is recruiting for a replacement. Bernasconi was most recently Managing Director of Innovative Finance at The Rockefeller Foundation and is a Research Fellow at Stanford University’s Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance.
Kiran Aziz has been named Head of Responsible Investments at Norwegian pension fund KLP. Aziz, who was a Senior Analyst at KLP before her promotion, replaces Jeanett Bergan, who left earlier this year to join Aker Horizons.
AXA is recruiting for a new Global Head of Climate and Biodiversity to replace Sylvain Vanston, who left last month to join MSCI as Climate Change Director.
Justine Leigh-Bell has left her role as Senior Advisor at the Climate Bonds Initiative to join the Anthropocene Fixed Income Institute (AFII) as Executive Director. Leigh-Bell was at the CBI for eight years, and was Deputy CEO from 2018 until last month. Stéphanie Mielnik has also joined AFII as a Senior Researcher, leaving her role as Strategic Product Manager at Northern Trust.
Meanwhile, Ivy Lau has left her role as General Manager East Asia at the CBI in order to become Head of Sustainable Finance at Mizuho.
Amisha Parekh has joined Blackstone as Global Head of ESG for Private Equity. Parekh was most recently Head of Sustainable Finance Product Incubation at Bloomberg, and has previously worked at Deloitte.
Will McDonald has left his role as Group Director of Sustainability and Public Policy at Aviva. McDonald said on LinkedIn that he has “lots of projects and ideas on the go”, including joining the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Aviva has not replied to a request for comment on plans for replacing McDonald.
Voting for the board of the Principles for Responsible Investment has opened. Signatories have until the 26th of November to cast their votes.
Morgan Stanley is hiring a Geospatial Data Scientist, a Quantitative Analyst and a Climate Economics Associate to join its sustainable finance team in New York.
Andrea Zdanaviciute has joined Trillium Asset Management as an ESG Research Specialist. Zdanaviciute has previously worked in sustainable finance for the UN Development Programme and as Head of Research and Analytics at fintech Liquidatum.
Jasper Berens has joined charity investment manager CCLA as its new Head of Client Relationships and Distribution. Berens, who leaves his role as Director at consultancy Stratevolve, and previously spent 20 years at JP Morgan Asset Management including as Head of UK, will lead CCLA’s efforts in expanding the investor base for its ESG funds.
Jacqueline Condron has joined BNY Mellon as a Corporate Governance and Proxy Voting Specialist. Condron, who previously spent six years with BNY Mellon in a similar position, leaves her current role as Director in Aon’s governance team.
MainStreet Partners has made seven new hires to its ESG research team. Djolan Captieux leaves his role as Global ESG Quality Manager at FTSE International to become Director and co-head of the ESG research department, and is joined by Simone Borsetti, Martina Castelli, Jaime Diaz-Rio Varez, Soner Hasan and Georgina Anne Tayler as Research Analysts.
Michael Terry has joined activist investor Engine No. 1 as Head of Client Solutions. Terry, who has previously held roles at Bank of America and Morgan Stanley, leaves his role as Head of UK and Europe at Bridgewater Associates.
