Former Chief Executive of the Global Reporting Initiative, Tim Mohin, has joined Persefoni AI as its Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer. In a LinkedIn post, Mohin wrote: “By bringing together the sustainability and software worlds, we can create the innovations necessary to make change at scale. That’s what I’m doing now.”

Aegon Asset Management has poached Invesco’s EMEA Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Lindsay Hudson. Hudson will be Aegon’s Head of Inclusion & Diversity, engaging internally and externally on associated topics, becoming a member of the company’s Senior Management Group, and working closely with Aegon AM’s Management Board. 

Aviva Investors has hired ShareAction's Senior Research Manager on Biodiversity, Vaidehee Sachdev, as an Impact Analyst and Lead on the Social Pillar for its Sustainable Outcomes Team. In the newly-created role, Sachdev will head research and engagement campaigns across social issues to support investment in universal human development. In addition, she will lead the asset manager's work with companies in the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark and upcoming Social Benchmark. 

Marie-José Freier has joined Barclays Investment Bank as its Global Head of Cross Asset ESG Research. Freier joins the firm from AB Bernstein where she had been since 2007; most recently, she served as the asset manager's Co-Head of European Sales & Global Head of ESG.

Farnam Bidgoli has been promoted to head of HSBC’s ESG Solutions Team for EMEA, leaving the bank searching for a new Head of Sustainable Bonds for the region. Bidgoli started out at Sustainalytics before moving to HSBC in 2017.

The US Sustainable Investment Forum has elected three new board members: Anthony Eames, Director of Responsible Investment Strategy at Calvert Research and Management, Kimberly Griego-Kiel, CEO of Horizons Sustainable Financial Services, and Ebony Perkins, Manager of Investor and Community Relations at Self-Help Credit Union. In addition, Diederik Timmer, Executive Vice President at Sustainalytics, has been re-elected for a second term.

Chris Anker has joined RWC Partners to lead its ESG initiatives, leaving Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he had been since 2016 – most recently he served as a Senior Analyst for RI Policy. Prior to that, he had worked at RPMI Railpen, the Church of England and PIRC.

Former US Treasury Secretary and Goldman Sachs CEO Hank Paulson will be Executive Chairman of TPG Capital's new Rise Climate fund, according to the New York Times. After leaving the Treasury in 2009, Paulson founded, and is chairman of, the Paulson Institute, which aims to promote sustainable economic growth and a cleaner environment around the world.

State Street Bank's Former Senior Audit Manager and Vice President, Julia Symon, has joined NGO Finance Watch as its Senior Research and Advocacy Officer. 

Hayden Morgan has resigned as Associate Director at Macquarie’s Green Investment Group to set up Morgan Green Advisory. Alongside his new venture, he will continue as a Convener of the Sustainable Finance Standard group for the International Standards Organisation, where he is seeking to develop global standards on green finance. 

Maxence Rousson has been hired as an ESG Analyst at investment firm, Exane. The move will see him leave asset management firm Covéa Finance where he has been an ESG Analyst since 2018.

Lilly Wollman has announced she is stepping down as a Partner at Al Gore and David Blood’s Generation Investment Management to focus on her graduate degree in Computational Biology, which she began last September. Wollman had been the Co-Head of the investment management firm’s Growth Equity platform since 2015.

Nawar Alsaadi has been named Acting Chief Strategy & ESG Officer at sustainability data house Mark Labs, where he will lead sustainability impact research, with a special focus on the Sustainable Development Goals and SASB integration. 

Women’s empowerment specialist Lisa Hilder will join the Investment Committee of the UK’s Big Society Capital, after working closely with the firm and its partners to develop the Women in Safe Homes fund. She is currently Director at the Hull Women’s Network and Director and Trustee for Preston Road Women’s Centre.

CBRE Global Investors has appointed Robbie Epsom as its first EMEA Head of ESG. He joins the real estate and infrastructure specialist from WSP, where he specialised in sustainability strategy and reporting in his role as an Associate Director within the Sustainability Advisory Services arm of the business. 

Deputy Secretary General of the Hong Kong Green Finance Association, Tracy Wong, has joined Standard Chartered Bank as its Head of Sustainable Finance for Greater China and North Asia. She will continue her Green Finance Association role, as well as being a Member of the SFC Climate Change Industry Group.

Ex- Morgan Stanley Executive Director for Sustainability, Mark Savino, has joined Viking Global Investors as an ESG Analyst. 

Martina Macpherson has stepped down as Senior Vice President for ESG & Engagement Strategy at Moody’s to become Head of ESG Strategy at European investment management firm and banking group ODDO BHF. Macpherson has a long career in the sustainable finance space, having previously held roles at IHS, the UK Sustainable Investment Forum, S&P Dow Jones Indices, S&P Global Ratings and MSCI, as well as founding consulting firm Sustainable Investment Partners in 2014. Alongside the above, Macpherson will continue as the President of the Network for Sustainable Finance Markets – Next Generation Initiative, sit on the Advisory Board of the European Law Institute, and guest lecture at the University of Zurich and Henley Business School.

Marissa LaFave has been promoted to Senior ESG Research Analyst at Parnassus Investments where she has been since 2018.

Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Infrastructure Capital has announced a string of senior leadership promotions: Jeffrey Lipson will become Chief Operating Officer while retaining his existing responsibilities as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and member of the Investment Committee; Managing Director Susan Nickey will become Executive Vice President and Chief Client Officer, while Marc Pangburn, also a Managing Director, will assume the role of Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Investment Officer, sharing the role with Nathaniel Rose. In addition the company, solely dedicated to investing in climate solutions, said that J. Brendan Herron will be transitioning from being its Executive Vice President to a Strategic Advisory role, starting in April 2021.

Caroline Gibert has been promoted by Flexstone Partners' to become its first Head of ESG. In her new role at the Natixis affiliate, she will oversee an ESG strategy at both a firm and portfolio level while continuing her role as Head of Business Development & Investor Relations, which she has been since she first joined the firm in 2014.

Irene Heemskerk has been appointed Sustainability Fellow at the IFRS Foundation, where she will help assess more than 500 responses to the group’s recent sustainability reporting consultation. Heemskerk joins from the Network for Greening the Financial System where she was seconded from the Dutch central bank as a Senior Advisor.
