

Sagarika Chatterjee has been appointed Senior Responsible Investment Specialist, a new role, at the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). She joins from F&C Investments where she worked on its REO engagement service. She has also served as Vice-Chair of the UK Sustainable Investment & Finance Association (UKSIF) and on the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s Investment Sub-Committee. She joins in November and will report to PRI Managing Director Fiona Reynolds.
Jeff Lubitz has been named as Executive Vice President of Sales at GMI Ratings, the US-based provider of research, data and analytics on environmental, social, governance (ESG) and accounting-related risks. He was most recently Senior Vice President of Sales for wealth research services firm WealthEngine, where GMI’s recently appointed CEO Dan Concannon was Head of Sales. Harvey McGrath, the former chairman of UK insurer Prudential and alternative asset manager Man Group, is to succeed Sir Ronald Cohen as Chair of Big Society Capital, the UK’s social investment bank, from January 1 2014.

Helle Gleie has been named as the first director of the Sustainable Shipping Initiative (SSI), the global coalition of companies and NGOs aiming to make shipping economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable by 2040. Gleie runs her own shipping consultancy firm and is former senior executive at Maersk. The SSI was started by environmentalist Jonathon Porritt’s Forum for the Future and has been led by the NGO’s staff since its inception in 2010.
