

Amit Bouri has been named as Managing Director of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), the nonprofit body which promotes impact investment, by CEO Luther Ragin. Bouri was formerly the network’s Director for Strategy and Development and was part of the team which founded GIIN in 2009. Brett Hammond, chief investment strategist at leading US responsible investor TIAA–CREF Asset Management, has joined index provider MSCI as head of index applied research, according to a Pensions & Investments report. Hammond will report to Remy Briand, managing director and global head of index and environmental, social and governance (ESG) research.
Separately, Dave Anderson has been named as president and CEO of TIAA–CREF Life Insurance Company, effective September 17. He joined TIAA–CREF in 2010 as the organization’s senior managing director of enterprise performance and integration.
David Denison, the former President and CEO of UN Principles for Responsible Investment signatory the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), has joined the board of directors of the Royal Bank of Canada. Denison, who retired from CPPIB in June, was succeeded by Mark Wiseman.
Betsy Atkins has stepped down as a director of SunPower Corporation, the Nasdaq-listed solar company backed by French energy giant Total, to pursue other business interests. Atkins, CEO at venture capital firm Baja Ventures, had been on the board since 2005. Matthews, who takes over from Jane Newell, currently also chairs the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme, Mirror Group Pension Scheme and Siemens Pension Scheme. Heather Ridout, a director of UN PRI signatory fund AustralianSuper, Australia’s largest industry fund, has been appointed a director of Australian exchange operator ASX Ltd. She also sits on the board of Sims Metal Management, the listed recycling company, and is a member of the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia. Jillian Broadbent is standing down from the ASX board to focus on her new role as Chair of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Link
Anubha Shrivastava, the former Managing Director, Asia at UK development finance institution CDC Group is leaving to pursue other opportunities. The £2.6bn investor said Holger Rothenbusch has rejoined from Germany’s DEG as Managing Director of the new Debt and Structured Finance Team. He replaces Hywel Rees-Jones, who is stepping down.
Hans van der Linden, chairman of Rabobank’s Rabo Real Estate Group, has been appointed to the Rabobank Nederland Executive Board as of December 1. He will succeed Piet van Schijndel who is retiring. It comes as Rabobank is sounding out potential buyers for its Robeco asset management arm.
